Clouds are such an enigmatic feature of daily life. Everchanging and ephemeral, they often bring new meaning to the same landscape… And so I became intrigued by the idea of creating landscapes by focusing on clouds exclusively. At first I found it very interesting how few combinations of colours I could use to describe clouds. I then went further and simplified their shapes and colours as normally would, contrasting their fluffy nature and using hard edges and flat shapes. Texture through line and softness through subtle tonal shifts.
