After Moving to Paarl, one of the first things I thought was.. “I guess I’m going to be painting mountains now…”. Since moving here at the end of 2023, I've been lucky enough to witness this majestic mountain range everyday from our home. A constant source of comfort and energy as it dances with the light throughout the day... It never fails to mesmerise. I instinctively chose to paint this monumental subject as small as possible. Partly for my own amusement but also because there were too many moments I wanted to capture.
